You set forth with the simple verb conjugations and noun recognitions and from there moved on to being able to read, write and interpret complete sentences.

A good way to learn advanced English on your own is to browse different websites or to read Shakespeare, Dickens, and other prominent English writers. This way, you can further your knowledge without having to pay.

Self-study is great, but having a structured course is extremely helpful if you want to master English. You benefit from having a competent instructor who can provide quality lessons and feedback, and you will advance more quickly towards your goal.

The aviation industry provides a very wide range of job opportunities from lawyers, mechanics, engineers and technicians to pilots and cabin crew. Also, all kinds of ground clerical, medical, security and catering staff are required. Just about any occupation you can think of is required by the civil and military aviation industry.

Wages can range from $20,000 to $200,000 per annum (or the equivalent in your currency), depending of course on the type of work. Also, you need to distinguish between military and civil aviation, and decide which option you prefer.

All kinds of engineers, scientists and technicians can find great jobs in aviation and they are generally well paid. The best first step to finding a job in aviation is to do a search on internet using phrases such as ‘aviation jobs’ and ‘civil aviation jobs’. For example, you are likely to find ‘onlineaviationjobs.com’ among others.

Another good strategy is to register your CV with recruitment agencies that specialize in aviation recruitment. By doing this online you can receive email notifications of job vacancies and work opportunities as they arise. Examples of aviation recruitment agencies include Matchtech, Resource Group and Morson Group.

Make sure your CV is geared towards the aviation industry. If you have no work experience or qualifications related to aviation, then you should at least express your interest in aviation somewhere in your CV.

If you want to find an aviation job in another specific country there is a special way of doing a google search. This is how it works:

For instance, let’s assume you live in the USA but you want to find a job in Australia. Go to Google and enter ‘google Australia’. This will bring up the google search engine for Australia where you can do searches for aviation jobs in Australia.

Boomers - a profit or a loss?

Predictions have been made that over 78 million baby boomers will ultimately face retirement within 25 years with drastic effects. The baby boom crisis has become the topic of many conversations and here is a snippet of what people have been saying since 2003.

A group of researchers in Finland produced a report back in 2003 called, “Preparing for the Labour Market Change, Caused by the Baby Boom Generation”. It says that from 2010, the population will start to decrease, and by 2030 will have decreased by about 400,000 people, and that labour capacity will continue it’s downward trend through the 2010s, with 30,000 people walking out the door every year. And to make matters worse, we don’t have the young people to replace them.

However, Kevin Coyne from Coyne Partnership Inc. disagrees with this theory. He thinks that there is no loss to be had from boomers leaving the marketplace. As their slow departure will give the economy time to adjust itself.

But David Walker would disagree. He’s on record as saying that the mass exodus of baby boomers however fast or slow, will still have an effect on the US’s financial system whether they like it or not.

With so much publicity on the topic comes a lot of opinions and reactions. Some companies are doing something about the problem but many are not.

Thnking things will be the same as before is crazy. True, many companies won’t be so affected, but can you say hand on heart, that it won’t affect the companies you serve - which in turn will affect you anyway; even if indirectly?

If the figures are correct, this is a quick peak at what could happen in the next two years.

Customers start withholding business to focus all their energies on preventing their organization from going under. Others will find their once healthy customer list, gradually fading away as a number of their clients go bust.

Fulfillment agencies, will feel the heat the most. As finding the right person for the job will become even harder than it is now. It’s estimated that things will certainly grow worse in this area, before it improves.

Boomers retiring is inevitable, there is nothing we can do about that. But to survive this crisis, smart companies can start preparing for it NOW. The three tactics are to:

– Appreciate the deeper ramifications the crisis could bring you — Develop a solid consumer profile — Focus on creating client loyalty

Forward thinking companies who want to survive and thrive in 2008 and beyond, have no choice but to start preparing right now, and these three marketing tactics are the way to go.
